Well done to our P6 pupils who came 3rd equal in the Aberdeen City Euro Quiz this afternoon. This great result is after lots of hard work both in and out of school, learning loads of interesting facts about Europe. Our team really did us proud. Well done!
Friday 13th March is Red Nose Day and Fernielea pupils and staff are planning to have fun and raise money for the worthy cause.
Boys and girls, and staff, are asked to come to school with their school uniform on but they should try to
‘make their face funny for money’.
Some ideas would be to wear funny glasses
or to wear a moustache.
They could even paint their faces and wear a wig! Anything goes!
The children will be asked to pay £1 to take part and this money will go straight to Comic Relief.
We will post lots of photos to show how much fun we have.
We are taking a whole school selfie on the day too – this will show everyone our fabulous faces!
We are learning the Red Nose Day song – Put on a Funny Face.

Here we all are having great fun at the P1-3 Valentine’s Disco!
Below are some photographs of this afternoon’s Nursery Valentine’s disco. The children looked wonderful in their outfits and had a great time dancing and playing games!

Good morning,
Please find attached the February 2015 Newsletter all the latest news at Fernielea School.
On Wednesday 28th January, P1- P7 pupils treated the senior citizens from our local community to an afternoon of song, dance and poetry to celebrate our national bard, Robert Burns. Children have been working hard to learn and perfect their Scottish poems, songs and dances.
Each class chose a Scottish theme to decorate a table for the senior citizens to enjoy their haggis, neeps and tatties during the performances. The children and senior citizens had a fantastic afternoon.
Children also performed their poem with their class and individually during Assembly.
