World Book Day Thursday 4th March 2021
Next Thursday is World Book Day and we are going to celebrate it in a slightly different way this year. The children won’t be wearing costumes but they will be having a day of creating in school, making a mask related to their favourite book. All materials will be created by school.
P4-7 pupils will be encouraged to decorate a mask at home to join in the fun. There will be opportunities shared by the class teachers to link into author live sessions and story reading live sessions too.
We will also have an exciting Masked Reader competition inspired by Saturday night TV’s The Masked Singer where the staff keep you guessing!! Look out for it launching soon.
There is an opportunity for families and parents/carers to gain support through a series of workshops this March.

PE days for the primary 1 – 3 classes will be as follows:
P1D – Thursday and Friday
P1W – Wednesday and Friday
P2 – Wednesday and Friday
P2/3 – Tuesday and Thursday
P3 – Wednesday and Thursday
As we are still operating under level 4 restrictions, all PE lessons will take place outdoors so please can you send your child to school in appropriate PE kit for the weather. In the event of bad weather, a decision will be made on the day as to whether or not it is suitable to do PE outdoors but you should still send your child to school wearing their PE kit.
Tuesday 9th February is Safer Internet Day which is celebrated all over the world. We are focusing on Safer Internet this week and we have created a range of resources to support parents and to support pupils.
Our Information area for parents is on our Website but we have also created a one stop area for parents to access relevant and up to date information.
We hope these are useful in helping pupils stay safe on the internet.
